This mod doesn't seem to work well these days, apparently. Personally, I'm resorting to just using my iPhone to access the bank account at the moment.

Sorry to not much of a help. On the upside, at least you won't need to worry about the security.

Thanks for this post. I find it hard to understand why a bank like Shinhan ships software with so many weird constraints. Why do I need to install software on my client in the first place, I haven't ever seen that with European banks...

I downloaded your mod, when I run it it says: NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/crimson/jaxp/DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl.

Do you know what's the best way to resolve this?

PS: Me downloading your modified piece of software to do online banking with is of course the worst example of security awareness ever... but I'll give it a try anyway

Unfortunately, many of the heat sources are facing inwards, or otherwise make it difficult to put heat sink directly over and cool them, necessitating heat pipes to redirect heat. Thanks for the link, in any case.

Guys, heatpipe only adds thermal resistance, you better off bolting heatsink right on the heat source and dissipating it there. Here is the link to thermal load calculator and simulator, look at the bottom of the page:
Backlight is integrated on the LCD screen itself. The cable from the screen connecting to the inverter is from this integrated backlight.

And yes, if the controller is capable of accepting VGA or DVI output from the computer and translate it to be displayed on the screen, it doesn't matter how big or small the screen is.

As for duplicating screens, the controller has to support mirroring output if you want to do it with one controller. Otherwise, you need a video splitter (often used in stores selling monitors or TVs) and two controllers.

This is really cool! Though, I do want to clarify please?

Where was the backlight on your build? Was it on the other side of the inverter and thats why it was not visible?

Also, with just some plexiglass, a controller, an OSD and a inverter module (and the backlight?) I can make an LCD even 4inches big that will display my computer screen?

And one last thing (I promise): Is it possible to have a second LCD that mimics the first one but receives its data from the first LCD's controller? Basically 2 LCD's with one analog input is all I want. Any ideas?

Thanks so much! Your article was inspiring and has generated a few ideas for my first DIY project.
