Wesley's Tool-Box

These are untouched photographs of Saturn taken by my new Canon SX50 HS digital camera on a tripod without any additional equipment. The 50x optical zoom seemed to be just at the edge of producing some interesting photographs of the planets, which was the motivation for the camera's purchase. Saturn was the first candidate to test this out. One, it is up in the night sky for several hours these days, unlike the other planets which go down the horizon after early evening. Two, its rings made it easy to identify.

Power supply/demand situation is getting a bit tight in Korea this year - there's this unusually hot weather coming up, and several large nuclear plants got shut down due to faulty parts being put into due to corruption.

As a result, power grid situation room is up and running early, and I'm taking part in the operation. This means I'll be showing up in the news broadcasts a few times throughout this summer. Yesterday saw some significant coverage from the media, and here are the results.

Wesley's Tool-Box was offline for a 53 days since February 2, 2013, when the iMac (Early 2008) that ran the website since May 2008 broke down.

Replacement system was sought, and a souped-up Mac mini (Late 2012) was chosen to pick up the task. Unfortunately, there had been a few issues - recovering the files and database from the iMac didn't go as smoothly as planned; Mac mini didn't get along with certain brand of SSD; family stuff.

퓨전FNC 하면 개인적으로 공CD, 공DVD 취급 업체로 각인이 되어 있는 곳입니다. 한창 애니메이션에 심취했을 때 공DVD 천여 장에 차곡차곡 백업을 해두던 때가 새록새록. 지금은 다양한 컴퓨터 액세서리를 취급하는 업체로 사업영역이 확대되어 있는데, 그 취급품목 중 하나가 Flaircomm이란 브랜드의 블루투스 장비입니다. 이번 리뷰에서는 퓨전FNC에서 판매하고 있는 BT-i4M 블루투스 모노 무선헤드셋을 살펴보기로 하겠습니다.

1. 제품의 인상

첫 인상이 나름 충격적이었습니다. 디자인 모티브가 100% 아이폰4에서 얻었다는 것을 자랑스러운 듯이 보여주고 있기 때문입니다. 홈페이지의 제품 소개에서도 "애플 스타일 디자인"임을 강조하고 있지요. "직관적 인터페이스" 부분은 모르겠지만. 그러고 보니 제품 이름이 i4M이군요. iPhone 4 Mobile?


애플이 블루투스 헤드셋도 만들었다면 스티브 잡스가 단번에 "너 고소!" 할지도 모르겠다는 생각입니다. 참고로, 이 제품은 중국 Kiss Communications Technology가 만든 BTK-718의 OEM 제품인 것으로 보이므로 고소장이 나온다면 이 회사로 먼저 가지 않을까 싶군요. 어쨌든, 지금 제가 가지고 있는 아이폰4와는 상당히 잘 어울리는 편이라 법적인 문제야 어떻든 간에 점수를 따고 들어 갑니다.

3. 문서 인식기능


메인 화면에서 "문서 인식" 아이콘을 누르고 아래처럼 인식할 문서를 카메라로 촬영하거나 이미 준비된 이미지를 불러들이면 됩니다. 방법은 명함 인식 때와 동일합니다.

이미지가 준비되면, 오른쪽에서 볼 수 있듯이 틀을 움직여 인식 영역을 지정합니다. 방법과 한계는 리뷰 1부에서 본 명함 인식 때와 거의 동일합니다. 명함 인식과 차이가 있다면, 인식 영역을 지정한 뒤 바로 서버에 전송하는 것이 아니고 문서를 받는 사람, 제목, 파일이름, 파일 형식, 인식 언어를 먼저 설정한다는 것입니다.
