Wesley's Tool-Box

Seems like the weather cooled down a bit with a couple of showers. Not enough, but bearable. With no air conditioning at home, last weekend felt like dipping in hot caramel. Yuck.

I'm trying to have more freedom on where the items that comprise the website can be put. The page nugget plug-in now boasts five possible locations (one of them needs the latest s9y SVN). The plug-in that shows the previous and next entry links for a given entry has been modified so that the links can be placed on the bottom of the entry instead of just on top. You might notice that these modifications have taken effect on this website already.

Maps for Japan on Google Map seem to be provided by a Japanese map company already. The sad thing about it is, of course, because of that, even Korea Strait is marked 'Sea of Japan' (see the body of water between Korea and Japan; Koreans prefer to call the vast sea next to the Korean peninsula 'East Sea').

The other sad thing is, Google Map still lacks any Korean maps. Yes, there are various websites that have online map of Korea, but they're not as cross-platform happy. I hope to see Google Map sign a contract with a local map maker to have the map filled in.

The last bits of translated stuff from the Korean version of the old site have now been integrated to this place. There weren't all that many, of course - only three articles had ever been translated. If I'm not doing translation of the old stuff now, at least I didn't need to ditch the ones that had already been done.

I think I'll have to modify the old site so that anyone connecting to that place is automatically redirected to here.
