While the overhead cloud hampered the observation of the solar eclipse at its peak (around 10:48 AM) and beyond, I was able to manage a few shots at the Sun as the eclipse progressed. Here's a ten-photo crop of the photos I took. There has been no retouching or resizing. Enjoy!

Too bad Korea didn't fall into the total solar eclipse zone (that prestige went to southern China and India), but this eclipse is the best one I've seen with my own (shielded) naked eyes yet. Good thing the office had spare floppy disks lying around. It's a very good filter.

Today's Chuseok and what better celebrate the holiday than watching the full moon and eating good food? I am currently in Ulsan and at my home here I have an old binocular, which I used with my camera to take a somewhat better close-up photo of the Moon just an hour ago.

Tonight had a very nice showing of the full moon on clear skies. I took several shots, but it turned out that the first one looked the best. This photo is taken with my Sanyo VPC-C4 camera at full zoom (5.8x) with infinite focus lock. It's about the best I can do without using a telescope.
